Abstract (EN)

In our world where the need for energy has increased, the importance of managing energy resources correctly has increased. Today, energy needs are generally provided from fossil resources. However, fossil resources are limited and difficult to obtain worldwide. When the areas with the highest energy consumption are investigated, it is noteworthy that buildings have an important share. For this reason, it is very important to design the buildings at the project stage to consume energy at the lowest levels during operation in terms of proper management of energy. In terms of engineering management, buildings that use less energy resources, emit less emissions to the environment, are more economical, and at the same time more favourable to human health with recycled/renewable materials are more efficient buildings in terms of energy, economy and ecology. In this study, energy simulation programmes that allow the results of the arrangements that can be made at the design stage to be evaluated at an early stage have been investigated in order to ensure the most efficient energy management for business buildings, which have higher energy consumption than residential buildings. The advantages and disadvantages of the programmes were examined. Among these simulation programmes, the UK based IES-VE energy simulation programme was selected and obtained. Then, one province from each of the four climatic regions of Turkey was selected for the energy management of a restaurant building designed by designing building shells in different combinations with different building and recycled/renewable source insulation material alternatives with three-dimensional modelling and energy consumption and emission analyses were performed. As a result of the study, it was tried to determine the most favourable building envelope components in terms of energy management in the climatic conditions of the four provinces investigated. Considering energy management, the most suitable province and building envelope (structure and recycled/renewable source insulation material) for the designed restaurant building were tried to be determined.
