Abstract (EN)

The dizzying change in today's technology and innovations that made in various fields shape consumer demands and needs. This situation cause the cutthroat competition in between companies and also the countries. The importance of the marketing profession has increased for the companies that want to benefit from this competition which is the reality of our age. Thus, qualified human resources are required in marketing employment areas. The aim of this study is to determine the perceptions of business department students about marketing employment. For this purpose, 400 questionnaires were filled out by the students of Selcuk University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Business Administration and research data were obtained. The statements in the questionnaire were analyzed through SPSS package program. In the analysis of the data, explanatory factor analysis, one-way analysis of variance and two independent samples were subjected to t tests. As a result of the explanatory factor analysis, the statements related to marketing employment were gathered under six factors. According to the analysis, no significant difference was found in terms of gender, department and program; but the difference was determined according to their grade year.
