The effect of size and industry on financial ratios of enterprises

In my thesis that aims to study the affects of the size of the enterprises and sectoral differences on financial ratios, two different areas of study in the literature have been brought together.First, the affects of the size of the enterprises on financial ratios have been investigated for 83 enterprises operating in the textile sector, through the analysis of interrelation of 15 financial ratios by correlation method and t-test.Another issue, whether the subsector of a firm affects its financial ratios, has been analyzed through the study of a sample of 138 enterprises and 15 financial ratios by using, ANOVA and Tukey tests.It has been concluded that the size of the enterprises affects 3 (with correlation method) and 5 ( with independent samples t-test) financial ratios and sectoral differences affects 5 financial ratios.
