Abstract (EN)

As today's technology changes gradually, electrical energy needs to be delivered to the consumers through the transmission lines from the power plants to the consumers without reliable uncertainty. There are many electrical losses at every stage of the production, production and consumption of electrical energy. These losses negatively affect the existing networks and cause overtime spending of the power plants. According to the researches, in the transmission lines and distribution lines, the reactive losses depending on the load status of the network and the consumer groups occur either as an inductive component or as a capacitive component. The fact that consumer groups use reactive energy in addition to active energy expenditure leads to changes in the power factor of the network. For efficient use of electrical energy, reactive compounds must be destroyed after a certain value. Compensation plants are used for this purpose. Compensation plants are used for this purpose. An arrangement has been introduced in the relevant articles of the Electricity Market Customer Service Regulation. Installed plants with a installed capacity of 50 kVA and above are required to pay reactive energy consumption costs when they consume more than 20 percent of the active energy amount of inductive reactive energy or more than 15 percent capacitive reactive energy. Compensation system is set up and these limits are not to be exceeded. Considering the reactive (capacitive or inductive) components of the underground network of Iğdır University which is the subject of our thesis, the line will be analyzed and compensation will be performed by using capacitor groups or reactor groups. In this way, the power factor (cosφ) will be brought closer to 1 and no price will be paid due to the rectifying consumption.
