Abstract (EN)
In the climate conditions of Turkey, by ensuring the optimization of the boiler-chimney compatibility in the most suitable conditions in terms of energy efficiency, it can be ensured that the economic outputs related to both the production and the amount of fuel used and the greenhouse gases released to the environment can be minimized. For this purpose, there are existing chimney design programs that can design boiler chimneys to achieve the desired energy efficiency at the highest rate. In this study, Kesa Aladin chimney calculation program, which is one of the most convenient programs, was used. One of the main objectives of this study is to model the chimney systems suitable for the boiler studied with the help of the program chosen for the research, to obtain realistic results for the application and to facilitate the design process. Thanks to the program used, when designing the chimney, a more compact, more environmental, more efficient and more economical design was aimed with many different parameters. Simulation-supported economic and environmental outputs to be obtained for chimney designs using different boiler types, different fitting elements, different flue materials and different material thicknesses were evaluated comparatively. For boilers operating at partial and full load, the simulation-supported chimney designs; Optimum values of operating parameters such as temperature-pressure conditions and waste gas velocity that can contribute to efficiency were determined and compared. In this study, first of all, technical issues related to the chimney were examined. Then, a chimney design was made for 4 different cities from 4 different climate regions (Aydın, Eskişehir, Kars, Trabzon) to be operated at a constant calorific value between 100-250 kcal/h for the fossil fuel-fired boiler model, which may be needed by a small business. Meteorological data, altitude, height information, slope angle, distance between buildings, etc. of the provinces investigated for chimney system designs. added to the simulation as input. In the next stage, flue fittings that can be used in the chimney design are diversified for the variable comparison situation result scanning, and the flue performances are evaluated with the help of the analysis results obtained by making the chimney diameter comparison results by evaluating the vertical single wall-horizontal double wall flue material, the chimney shaft structure component material. It is aimed to create an effective reference for the users in the cost process of the comprehensive designs and results to be made through the program to be used in this way, and to design chimneys more economically, more environmentally and more energy-efficiently with the help of the analyzes to be made.
