Özet (EN)

With today's increasing competition, it is important for the market success of businesses that they follow technological developments in their respective industries. Technology is developing and changing very rapidly. Businesses are making serious investments to benefit from these changes, thereby requiring employees of organizations to adapt to new technologies. The effective use of a new technology in a business is closely related to the attitudes of employees who use that technology and are considered to be internal customers of that business. This study examines cloud computing, a new service model that enables businesses to efficiently and cost-effectively manage their needs for computing resources. To this end, the study analyzes employees' acceptance of the cloud computing technology using the Technology Acceptance Model 3 (TAM3) and explores whether cloud computing-related perception, behavioral intention and usage differ according to the characteristics of a business and its employees. The study was conducted for businesses that are customers of Microsoft Azure cloud provider. Field research has been carried out on June 2017-May 2018. Both the web-based survey and the traditional survey technique were used to collect data. 520 people participated in the survey. When the answers from 520 participants were examined, 109 inattentive and randomly answered questionnaires were excluded from the evaluation. All the evaluations were made on 411 questionnaires. The study consists of two parts. The first part deals with the concept, theory and applied literature. The second part involves the research methods, analysis, results and discussion. Before analyzing the research model, the study analyzes the moderating and mediating effects of some variables and then tested the structural relations of the research model. The study investigates whether perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, behavioral intention and use behavior differ according to participants' gender, age, educational background, attendance at training before using the cloud computing technology, hands-on experience with the cloud computing technology, and the average time to use the cloud computing technology. A similar analysis was conducted based on the number of employees in businesses, the year of establishment, relevant industry, and capital structure. The analysis results showed that employees' behavioral intention toward cloud computing did not differ according to age and attendance at training in cloud computing; however, employees' perceived usefulness differed according to attendance at training in cloud computing, hands-on experience with cloud computing, and the average time to use cloud computing. Employees' perceived ease of use significantly differed according to attendance at training in cloud computing and the average time to use cloud computing. The behavior to use cloud computing significantly differed according to training in cloud computing and experience with cloud computing. Additionally, employees' perceived usefulness and use behavior concerning cloud computing also differed according to the number of employees in businesses, the year of establishment, relevant industry, and capital structure. Employees' perceived ease of use did not significantly differ according to only the number of employees. Additionally, employees' behavioral intention toward cloud computing did not differ according to the capital structure of businesses. Subjective norm and output quality, the determinants of perceived usefulness, had an effect on the variable perceived usefulness. The variable perceived ease of use had an effect on self-efficacy and anxiety.
