Abstract (EN)

The study aims to examine the technical features of accounting software packages used in businesses and accounting offices, compare them in terms of accounting functions, highlight their differences, conduct a content analysis of the most commonly used accounting software packages and their modules, analyze their suitability for intended purposes, evaluate the databases they use, and determine the extent to which they adapt to technological innovations and their progress in digital transformation. The content features of the programs were analyzed through websites that sell accounting software packages and provide support services. By following this method, an attempt was made to understand whether accounting software developers and users are involved in the process of e-transformation and digitalization in accounting. In the study, ten widely used accounting software packages were identified based on specific criteria and included in the research scope. A content analysis was conducted through their official websites. Based on the obtained data, a binary scoring system was applied, and the results were interpreted using Pearson correlation and regression analysis. The study revealed the current stage of digitalization in the field of accounting, identified challenges to digitalization in accounting, and proposed solutions.
