Work measurement technique for increasing of productivity in enterprises and an application

Lately, productivity has a crucial importance for the developingcountries. Improving the productivity is probably the best way to deal with thevicious circle that is a combination of poverty, unemployment and the lack ofproductivity.That the companies are the real places to ensure productivity shouldn?tbe ignored. Nowadays, companies have to produce goods of high quality byusing less input and workforce to get the superiority of competition in nationaland international markets. The only way to achieve this goal is improving theproductivity in any processes.There are a lot of techniques to improve productivity. ?Work Study? isone of the most useful techniques which are used in order to improveimmediate processes and methods Work study has two main components:?Time study? and ?Motion Study?. This thesis, firstly deals with ?work study? ina detailed way. Secondly, a time study is applied in a pipe factory. Theresults of the thesis show that the importance of training of the workers onhow to repair their machine that they use in daily processes and reducingavoidable delays. As a conclusion of this thesis, it is possible that calculatedstandard time can be reduced about %15 while daily quantity of productioncan be increased almost %17.
