The effect of green management practices of businesses and green organizational behaviors of employees on business performance

This thesis examines how green management practices, which are the sustainability-oriented management practices of businesses, and the green organizational behaviors of employees reflect on the performance of businesses. The research aims to understand how the green management practices adopted by businesses in order to fulfill their environmental responsibilities and follow a sustainable business strategy and how the sustainability-compatible behaviors of their employees affect their performance. The study aims to analyze the theoretical connections between green management, green organizational behaviors and business performance, starting with a comprehensive literature review. Then, a research plan was made to quantitatively evaluate these connections with data obtained from employees who adopt green management practices in businesses through surveys. The results of the study will analyze the effects of businesses' green management practices and employees' green organizational behaviors on business performance. This study aims to contribute to future sustainable business models by emphasizing the importance of green management practices in achieving the sustainability goals of businesses. The findings of the research show that green management practices and green organizational behaviors have significant and positive effects on business performance. The study reveals that businesses' environmental sustainability efforts improve not only their environmental but also their economic performance. However, some green behaviors may have unexpected negative effects, which need to be managed carefully. This study emphasizes the importance of considering green management practices and green organizational behaviors when developing sustainability strategies for businesses.
