Abstract (EN)
The subject of this study is a group of Lydian coins from Ismail Akçura Collection. The Ismail Akçura collection (Manisa), which started in 1992, has 489 coins of Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Islamic era as well as some rare samples of the first coins ever minted by mankind. The coins of this collection is all acquired through purchase and has never been published. Only 37 coins of Lydian Kingdom and cities such as Sardeis, Saittai, Magnesia ad Sipylum, Philadelphia, Tripolis, Bagis, Thyateria, Silandos and Julia Gordos have been studied, the rest is left out of the scope of this study.
