The women typology of İsmail Gaspıralı's works

The thesis named as The Women Typology in Ismail Gaspirali's Works is a study analysing various topics about women and the woman characters in the texts written by Ismail Gaspirali. In this study it has been aimed to make an inference about the place of women in Turkish-Muslim Societies by the inspiration of Ismail Gaspirali as a pioneer in Turkish Literature and thus to serve a better comprehention of Ismail Gaspirali's ideas and ideal life that he suggests for Turkish Societies. Ismail Gaspirali has become an pioneer at several topics such as politics, media, education in Turkish Societies and the ideas that he suggested, notably " Ceditçilik" has been embressed and spread among Turkish Societies. Ismail Gaspirali studied on extensive fields through his his life time in addition he represented various literature texts. As the important part of social life women and issues as to women has a broad place in works of Ismail Gaspirali. By his critiques using the woman characters that he created he aimed and succeded to call societies attantion to women issues. In the introduction part of the study has been given general information about Crimean cultural and social life and its history to provide better understanding of that time the aouthor produceded his works. In the first part of the thesis has been provided information about Ismail Gaspirali's life, education, and cultural, social, political activities, environment he grew up and women had an significant part in his life. In the second part, abstract of the texts that will be studied has been given subsequently women issues by referring the characters in the texts and women types, considering the sex role in the societies has been mentioned. The writings of the author about women issues , apart from his literature works, has been analized. In the conclusion part, the general consideration as a result of the study has been given thanks to Ismail Gaspirali's work, at the corresponding time the place of Turkish- Muslim women's in the social life and their problems has been presented. Ismail Gaspirali's solution suggestions that coul be detected about women issues are conveyed.
