The vocabulary of the works " Tuna'dan Batı'ya" And " Yurttan Yazılar" By İsmail Habib Sevük'ün

İsmail Habib Sevük is a literatüre historian, an educator and author of 1900's. His Works have an undeniable feature in terms of Turkish language and history. In Habib Sevük's "Wiritings from the Country" and " From Tuna to West" works which he achieved a great success and we tasted language pleasure, his skill in using the longuage came into prominence. So in order to give on opinion about his language mentality, literary pleasure, ideas and life style and to be able to examine his vocabulary and noun phrase category in his vocabulary scope we chose to examine those two works of him. Our study comprises of Introduction, category of grammatical noun phrases, Thematic Vocabulary, Conclusion and Grammatical Index. In the İntroduction Section the purpose, method, importance of the study, the views declared about words and noun phrases were represented and a frame was drawned fort he noun phrases reguiring explanation. Right after noun phrases of the works were examined and exemplified in detail.Then statistical graphics of the noun phrases of the works were explained just after the noun phrases section. In the thematic vocobulary section categories of the words, that writer used, according to the lexical field were expressed as percentages. After that grammatical index section in which you can comment on the author's vocobulary richness comes. The data acguired throvgh analyses and examinations are itemized in conclusion section and in the grammatical index section word statistics (an alphabetical list of the words with referance to the pages and lines on which they are mentianed), the number of the words that author used and lexical entries were presanted.
