Abstract (EN)

Pumice Stones, which have abundant reserves in the world and in our country, are a type of hollow, spongy and glassy rock that is formed by the sudden cooling of the gases in the body as a result of volcanic activities. Pumice is a kind of volcanic tuft resistant to chemical and physical factors. Pumice stones are preferred in agriculture, textile and industrial areas, especially in the construction sector, due to their affordable cost. In this study, the effects of Isparta Gelincik village pumice on 1200°C glazed body and clay body were investigated. Pumice Stones taken from Isparta region are ground and passed through sieves and used together with different raw materials. In this study, which consists of three parts; In the first part, information was given about the definition and properties of ceramic glazes. In the second chapter, the definition, properties, chemical analysis (XRF) of pumice and usage areas of pumice stones are included. In the third chapter, the preparation stages of pumice application, glaze trials, clay trials and personal applications are included.
