Abstract (EN)

The structure of the society and the economic structure show parallelism. Industrial capitalism started with the industrial revolution. Industrial capitalism also brought the problem of unemployment. This problem has a strategic importance in controlling the working class and ensuring the continuation of the system. Although unemployment rates decreased with the Keynesian policies that followed, neoliberal policies were effective all over the world with the effect of the 1970 oil crisis, and as a result of harsher practices, unemployment increased even more. The belief that unemployment will decrease with the increase in the time spent in education has lost its importance with these liberal policies. At the same time, the number of unemployed differs by gender. This study aimed to reveal how female teachers graduated from education faculty who are not assigned and do not work in any job cope with unemployment. In the research using phenomenology design, "interview technique", one of the qualitative data collection methods, was used. The study group consists of 26 unemployed female teachers, who were reached by purposive sampling method, living in Tokat in 2020-2021, graduated from the Faculty of Education, were not assigned and were not working in any public or private institution at the time of the interview. It has been seen that the different forms of application applied in teacher employment cause negative emotions in unemployed female teachers. While anger and the feeling of being wronged stand out among these emotions, it has been concluded that worthlessness and anxiety about the future are also among the emotions felt. It was concluded that unemployed female teachers resorted to unconscious defensive behavior and emotion-focused defensive behavior in order to cope with the negativities brought by unemployment, and some of them used religious coping as a defensive method to cope with the feeling of suicide that threatened their lives.
