Conditions for benefiting from unemployment insurance

Unemployment is one of the most important problems that every country has to struggle with. It is not possible to prevent unemployment which is increasingly continuing today, completely. However, it is possible to prevent the problems caused by unemployment, even partially, with active and passive labor services. One of the passive labor force applications that are applied in terms of compensation for unemployment is unemployment insurance. Unemployment insurance, which was optional at the beginning, has been made compulsory in many countries with the effect of the increase in unemployment today. Unemployment insurance is a little late in our social security system compared to other countries in the world, but it was introduced in 1999 with the Unemployment Insurance Law No. 4447. With in the scope of this study, unemployment insurance and its applications will be examined within the framework of Law No. 4447.
