Abstract (EN)

In the 19th century, during which the modernization period was most active, both the demand for construction of the Ottoman dynasty and the design patterns of construction producers varied markedly. In this period, many different types of buildings bearing European influential forms and styles are being built. Especially the Ottoman dynasties, the palace-related building desingn of the palaces, the kiosks and pavilions that symbolize the development of the social life codes provide, the changing architectural mentality, stylistic differentiation and pioneering examples of a variety of likes. Beykoz Pavilion and Maslak Pavilions, which constitute the main focus of the thesis, exemplify the style differentiation in architecture and the variety of likes in decoration. In the thesis, the dynamics that triggered the changing social phenomena, culture and art atmosphere during the 18th and 19th centuries were transferred in chronological order and the reflections of Beykoz Pavilion and Maslak Pavilions were mentioned. As European style patterns began to leap to Ottoman architecture, the changing mass, volume, form, decoration, ornamental and garden arrangements have been focused on the effects of Beykoz Pavilion and Maslak Pavilions. In this study, Beykoz Pavilion and Maslak Pavilions evaluated the functional features, the building producers undertaking the construction, the facade design, the decoration program, the material details, the decorative objects and the landscape design with a holistic approach. The results are interpreted by connection.
