Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to measure the relative efficiency of health facilities which provide oral and dental services in İstanbul by using Data Envelopment Analysis ( DEA ). DEA is a specific application of linear programming which is a method using to measure the relative efficiency of decision making units that have the same goals. While measuring the efficiency, it was used assumption of constant returns to scale and DEA models originated from 1 input and 6 outputs. EMS (Efficiency Measurement System) Versiyon 1.3 software was used to solve models. At the end of comparation of basic and weight restricted models of DEA, it was realized that results of weight restricted DEA model were more selective than basic ones. It was also realized that %90 of decision making units in the set of observation of 2016 are not efficient and avarage efficiency of the units was 0,50. Another result of this research that average efficiency of healt facility groups aligns as "Oral and Dental Health Centers and Oral and Dental Hospitals > Public Hospitals > Education and Research Hospitals" in 2014, 2015 and 2016. Finally, it was realized that large units of health facilities which provide oral and dental services were more efficient than smaller ones.
