History of the Red Crescent Association's Istanbul Kadikoy Branch and its activities in 1921-1922

Turkish Red Crescent is a globally reknown aid organization, and is currently celebrating 150th kitabın, Latin harflerine çevrilmesi yoluna gidilmiş ve tam transkripsiyonu yapılmıştır. Hilal-i Ahmer Association Kadıkoy Branch was reopened in 1921 and the organization has possible to run uninterrupted operations from thereon. The subject matter of this thesis is the history of Hilal-i Ahmer Association Kadıkoy Branch's history and its operations during 1921-1922. This period is reviewed through the book dated 1923, titled "Kadıköy Hilâl-i Ahmer Cem'iyeti'nin Tarihçesi ve Hülâsa-i İcraatı (1337-1338)" Primarily, the book has been translated into the Latin alphabet and has been fully transcribed. In addition to the evaluation and findings of the first three main chapters, the exact (original) copy of the transcribed text is annexed and presented for researchers to make use of. The thesis sheds light to donation and aid operations of Hilal-i Ahmer Association Kadıkoy Branch during the final years of the Ottoman Empire, as well as during the Republican transition period. It also shed light on the period's social life by means of providing information on Kadıkoy district organization within the context of Istanbul's urban history.
