Carcission ethnic identity building processes for 2010'years at the İstanbul non-govermental organisation

Caucasians people had been genocided and exiled by the Russian Empire, having migrated to the Ottoman Empire at the time of 18-19th century. According to social researchers, ethnic groups produce its ethnic boundaries by subjectivity based on 'me' and 'other' discrepancy. Ethnic building is not product and reflection of any cultural forms and ethnic origin. However, sustainability of ethnic boundaries depends on continuity of cultural differences. If this not happens, living ethnic groups may face assimilation risk in diaspora. Caucasians NGO's have dramatically increased in Turkey at resent years. There have been up to 100 Caucasian institutions across Turkey; of which twenty NGO's have activated in the city of İstanbul. This research is the aim of drawing a frame for perception of Cherkess identity in the level of Caucasians NGO's in the city of İstanbul. We have used quality research methods producers like in-depth interview techniques and working groups during research period. This has followed the observation of social, political and cultural activities at the NGO's. As ethnicity is known a product of interaction and transaction between individuals and ethnic groups, we have built this PhD thesis on relations, which Cherkes share among themselves. Themes produced at the research process are as follows: Village/town relations, Cherkes rituels, family and kinship relations, marriage relations, NGO and homeland (Northern Caucasia ) relations, Xabze (khabze norms) and its social aspects, its religion understandings, outlook to the Cherkes women, ethno-cultural symbols, social media, ethnic rhetorics, Cherkes language, assimialition and ethnic conscience for Cherkes . Depending on the research inputs, Cherkes identity has seemed to carry dominantly cultural forms, aimed to sustain forever in our country.
