İstanbul kongre ve fuar turi̇zmi̇ni̇n i̇ncelenmesi̇ (2000 yili sonrasi)

İstanbul is one of the oldest and the most important city on the world. Tourism market is an important income source for İstanbul by its history and geo-political location. Tourism provides input to economy with foreign currencies and provides solution for employment with new jobs. Congress and exhibition organizations are important part of tourism. Demand to international meetings has increased by development of corporate companies, universities, political parties and foundations. Companies which desire to introduce their products to the consumers and create new markets join to exhibitions all over the world. Within this thesis, the development of congress and exhibitions at İstanbul after year 2000, updated situation of tourism today, the potantial of İstanbul for hotels, transportation, restaurant and employment has been researched beside problems and solution suggestions. As conclusion of this study, İstanbul has very important potantial at congress and exhibition tourism and has every necessary needs for this market but sometimes because of some unseen circumstances on country situation, İstanbul cannot develop these organisations as much as expected. Moreover, İstanbul protects the assertion to be at first 5 cities on the world at congress and exhibitions tourism.
