The investigation and comparative study of Mecmū´a-i Eş´ār (Istanbul University, Rare Books Library, No: T3574, 1a-60b)

In this study a poem collection named Mecmu'a-i Eş'ar (between 1a and 60b), which is held in Istanbul University, Rare Books Library, No.: T3574, was investigated and the transcription of the text was prepared. The text was prepared with concerning of Systematic Categorizing of Collections Project (SCCP; in Turkish: MESTAP) and the table was made with the rules of the project. Firstly, the collection was introduced and brief biographies of the poets were presented. After that, the transcription of the text was prepared. The text was compared to the other academic researches which contained the same poems and the differences were discussed. The collection contains the classical Turkish poems and by considering the date of birth and death of the poets, we found that the collection was prepared in late 17th century. The investigations shows that the collection contains 229 poems from 51 poets, but, the name and identity of the five poets could not be recognized. Additionally there were one and half page which is prose. The last parts of the study included the results, references, facsimile
