Perceptions of social state and social justice of istanbul university students

Globally, one of the biggest problems countries are facing are the problems of social state and social justice / injustices. On the one hand, states try to achieve social balance through practices aimed at achieving social welfare, and on the other hand, they struggle against the power of the globalizing market.In this study, perceptions of university students about social state and social justice practices in the context of social state and social justice are discussed.This resarch was carried out by considering social state and social justice, which is the ultimate goal of social state, all together. One of the aims of this study is to determine whether students consider social assistance practices as a compulsory duty of the state. Another aim of this study is to measure students attitudes towards the implementation of the state towards social justice. After the literature review, 420 students studying at Istanbul University were surveyed. The data were analyzed with SPSS 22 analysis program, One-Way ANOVA, TUKEY and T-test were used statistically. One of the main findings of the study is that the majority of the students think that there are social injustices in the society. Another key finding of the study is that the vast majority of students consider social assistance to be the compulsory duty of the state.
