In the context of the employment policies "on-the-job training programs": The Assessment of Kayseri applications

For a long time the unemployment has become a common global problem for almost every countries. The negativity of the unemployment that occurs in individual and public life, force the governments into applying some economic and social policies to decrease and block the effects of this issue. The applications which are formed by the efficiency about economics and productions of the governments, are classified as active and inactive employment policies against unemployment. Turkey, like the other developing countries who lives the same situation about unemployment, follows closely and adjusts the employment policies of European Union (EU) and the global world. Therefore to put these policies into practice, İŞKUR (Turkish Employment Agency) which is developed like a modern employment agency, is placed to forefront. Especially in the last period İŞKUR On-The-Job Training Programs gained importance and the necessity of the evaluation of the efficiency of these programs to employment is needed to arise. This study aims to evaluate these applications which is performed in Kayseri by İŞKUR on a local scale and to understand the place of On-The-Job Training Program as an employment provider in employment policies. Also it is targeted to see the problems and the difficulties of the program and produce the suggestions to solve them.
