Abstract (EN)

The concepts of inclusive workplace and Islamic leadership, which have been studied in recent years in terms of business management, are the starting point of this study. The aim of this study is to measure the knowledge and attitudes of top managers about workplace inclusion and Islamic leadership concepts and to determine the role of Islamic leadership in the development of inclusive workplaces. In the research, first of all, the concepts of leadership, Islamic leadership and inclusive workplace were discussed theoretically. In the first part of the research, the concept of leadership is explained and discussed in terms of business management in the historical process. In this context, leadership theories have been tried to be explained under separate headings as classical and modern leadership theories. In the second part, the concept of Islamic leadership is discussed. After defining the concept of Islamic leadership, the dimensions of Islamic leadership and the characteristics that Islamic leaders should have are discussed under 14 headings. At the end of the chapter, the differences between traditional leadership and Islamic leadership are discussed. In the third part of the research, the concept of inclusive workplace is discussed and the definition, features, benefits, importance of inclusive workplace and the differences between inclusive workplace and diversity management are discussed. In the application part of the research, interviews were conducted with executives with CEO, CFO etc. titles, operating in various sectors. Interviews with 33 senior managers were analyzed through MAXQDA, an analysis program suitable for qualitative analysis, and the data obtained were interpreted. As a result of the analyzes, it has been determined that Islamic leadership and inclusive workplace in terms of business management is not heard much in Turkey, but in practice, managers implement both Islamic leader behaviors and inclusive practices. As a result of this study, the awareness and definitions of the concepts were determined and the characteristics of these concepts were also tried to be determined. Inclusive activities of the organizations that are the subject of the study, the leadership strategies they implement and the effect of Islamic leadership on inclusive workplace have been determined.
