Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between workplace bullying and intention to leave the job. The research was conducted in companies producing food packaging. The main reason for this choice is the high workload and employee turnover rate in companies producing food packaging. The population of this study consists of workers, foremen, supervisors, and administrative staff employed at a total of 39 food packaging production companies located in the Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone. Using convenience sampling, five companies operating in the Çerkezköy Organized Industrial Zone were reached, and a survey was administered to 450 employees from these companies, selected at random. Incomplete or incorrect questionnaires were excluded, and the remaining 358 questionnaires were evaluated. The first two sections of the study review the relevant literature on workplace bullying and intention to leave, covering the concepts and the relationships between them. The third section of the study presents the findings and interpretations of the fieldwork conducted on workplace bullying and intention to leave. The results of the study revealed that workplace bullying and intention to leave the job showed significant differences according to the demographic and work characteristics of the employees included in the study, and that there was a moderately significant positive relationship between participants' exposure to workplace bullying and their intention to leave the job.
