Abstract (EN)

To perceive the aims and the ambitions of the religion correctly is deeply connected with acquiring the human nature rightly. In order to gain this acquisition is needed the data of psychology. Religion psychology, a sub-branch of psychology, makes a study of every aspect bearing religious quality in human beings'spiritual livings and behaviours. The symbols hanged on shops and stores which are considered by the whole nation as of religion are the examples of these aspects. The main aim of the research, taking those aspects as the starting point, is to search and analyze on psychological perspective the effects of the symbols bearing religious quality on the individuals' percepting differences at the formation of the religious beliefs and attitudes assumed as indicators of individuals' religiousness. The study's content has been established on an area investigation. The pilot region pointed accordingly is Istaribul-Kadikoy region. The style used at the research is to apply questionaires containing questions related to the subject to the individuals chosen from the pilot region, and later on to interview with those individuals. A special care is paid to choose a part of those individuals of the special group from store and shop owners. Again, the age section of the part of society participated in the research is between 20-50 years old men and women of no particular economic or culturel class. According to the data gained from the pilot region it is revealed that the symbols bearing religious qualities are accurately known by the society. Those symbols continue to exist as a particular value in the social culture. At the same time it can be clearly said that the value mentioned is only habitual, its sources leaning back to traditions. More accurately, to conclude that individuals believe in the religious symbols at stores and shops neither knowing their meanings nor feeling any need to seek knowledge about them could be say. xra
