Researching of preservation conditions of Raimondo D'aronco's structures in Istanbul

In the first chapter, general information about subject, purpose, content and methods about the thesis are given. In the second chapter, general information about westernization period of Ottoman State and its impacts on Architecture are given and architecture and architects are researched after the political reforms made in the Ottoman state in 1839. In the third chapter, life story of Raimondo D?Aronco, his architectural pasts in Italy and his Architectural studies Istanbul that started with an invitation are researched, throughout the time he spent in Istanbul his works that are researched as three different sections respectively include; applied and still exist, applied but could not reached the present day and not applied. In the fourth chapter, similar to third chapter, D?Aronco?s applied and still exists structures are studied deeply on the purpose of investigating their conditions of preservation and offering suggestions about new preservation and a catalog about these studies is made. In the final and the fifth chapter that is about results and recommendations, in the light of researches and reviews made in four chapters provide information about preservation conditions of Raimondo D?Aronco?s structures in Istanbul.
