Abstract (EN)

Aim: Growth is the main characteristic of animals, plants, and living organisms at the population level. The graphic representation of the change in body weights of these organisms over time is made using growth curves. Nonlinear growth functions are used to determine growth curves. After the most suitable growth functions are determined, the most appropriate slaughter time, the amount of feed to be given to the ideal animals, and the growth standards for selection can be determined by using these functions. In this study, different nonlinear growth models of Awassi x (Romanov x Awassi) G1 lambs will be compared, and the model that best explains the growth in these lambs will be determined. Method and plan of the study: In this study, different growth curve models (Gompetrz, Logistic, Brody, Negative Exponential, etc.) will be compared by using the live weight data of 21 lambs born in 2022 at the Research and Application Farm of DÜ Faculty of Agriculture, from birth to 7 months of age, determined in one-month periods. The iterative Levenberg Marquardt procedure will be applied in the application of the models. Analyzes will be made using the generalized least squares method using the SPSS program.
