Abstract (EN)

The most important events in Turkish political life are the establishment of the Democrat Party and the 1946 and 14 May 1950 elections. IX. The deputies who would perform political activities in the parliament during the period were determined by the 1950 elections. It is seen comparatively that the trial of multi-party political life, which started with TCF and SCF, continued in the desired democratic conditions with the 1946 and 1950 elections. As a result of these elections, after 27 years of CHP rule, the DP elevated its opposition position to the throne of power. IX. Term Istanbul deputies are located in the region where the most candidates were removed from the DP list and the election was won. Consisting of quite distinguished names, IX. President Celal Bayar and Prime Minister Adnan Menderes are among the Istanbul deputies of the period. It is seen that Fuad Köprülü, in addition to being one of the founders of the DP, won the election from this region. The period of 1950-1954, in which political activities were carried out on important issues in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, was a process in which studies in economy, health, finance and various fields gained a different dimension with the new ruling party. The political and financial developments in Turkey were discussed and resolved through the law proposals and approvals submitted by the deputies to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
