Abstract (EN)

The 14 May 1950 elections were an election in which the 27 year rule of the CHP came to an end in Turkey. The Republican People's Party, which was in power for a long time, transferred the power to the Democrat Party according to the 14 May 1950 election result. IX. Period (1950-1954) Mardin was represented by 7 deputies in the Turkish Grand National Assembly. CHP won three MPs from Mardin, DP won three MPs, and an independent candidate won one MP. IX. Term Turkish Grand National Assembly's Mardin deputies names are Abdurrahman Bayar, Abdulkadir Kalav, Cevdet Öztürk, Kemal Türkoğlu, Ali Rıza Erten, Mehmet Kamil Boran, Aziz Uras. The aforementioned deputies have expressed their views through the speeches they made on various issues in the Assembly, their proposals for laws and motions. In addition, there were various commissions in which they took part and investigation committees they participated in. Apart from these, they contributed to the development of Mardin in many areas such as public works, health, social and economic.
