Abstract (EN)

In this study, the predictive power of university students' well-being of nomophobia and loneliness levels is investigated. Mental Well-being Scale, UCLA Loneliness Scale, Nomophobia Scale and personal information form are used as data collection tools in the study conducted with relational screening model. The study group of the study consists of a total of 602 university students consisting of 337 females and 265 males from different faculties of a university in the Central Black Sea Region in the 2017-2018 academic year. Pearson Correlation Analysis is used to examine the relationships among variables, and multiple regression analysis is used for predictors. When the findings of the study are examined, there is a moderate negative correlation between well-being and loneliness, and well-being has a weak negative correlation with the sub-dimensions of the nomophobia scale. Loneliness is found to be a significant predictor on well-being. The relinquishing of comfort and the loss of online connection, which are the sub-dimensions of nomophobia, are also found to be significant predictors of psychological well-being. Furthermore, regression analysis, which predicted well-being by loneliness and nomophobia, is statistically significant in university students. Finally, as loneliness and nomophobia increase in university students, well-being decreases. Key words:Nomophobia, well being, loneliness
