Abstract (EN)

In context to this study, measuring the knowledge and awareness of healthcare personnel working with the sources of ionizing radiation about legal regulations, occupational health and safety, and working with radiation; moreover, examining whether or not there is significant difference according to various demographical characteristics of the participants for the knowledge level of legal regulations, knowledge and awareness level of occupational health and safety, and knowledge and awareness level of working with radiation are aimed. In this regard, a survey questionnaire was prepared, and the survey was conducted on 198 healthcare personnel between April 2019 and September 2019. According to the research results, it was found that healthcare personnel have adequate knowledge and awareness about legal regulations, working with radiation and occupational health and safety issues. Furthermore, there were found significant differences according to various demographical characteristics as the result of variance analysis. Especially within the scope of the difference between public sector – private sector, it was found that healthcare personnel working at private sector have significantly more knowledge and awareness level about legal regulations, working with radiation, and occupational health and safety than healthcare personnel working at public sector.
