Abstract (EN)

The word Mecmua is derived from the Arabic stem cem' which corresponds to add up, to bring together, to gather. When it comes to its literary meaning, it can be defined as "compilations which contain chosen texts from various people or subjects". These texts may share commonality in cases of type and form as well as they can be mixed compilations. Mecmuas in Classical Turkish literature may have a supplementary resource feature for literature history in many ways. Poem mecmuas play a larger part among other mecmuas. A good deal of new information can be reached through this type of works. Mecmua of Îzâkî, which is the subject of our thesis, is a poetical mecmua in which the poems are gathered. The work includes many new poems of different poets. We also encounter some poets in this mecmua whose names are known but not much is known about them. Mecmua of Îzâkî consists of 96 pages. The mecmua is registered to Iran Council Parliament Library with number 9810. Being a poet himself, Îzâkî's Mecmua is analyzed in our study. Key words: Mecmua, Îzâkî, 17th century, Mecmua of Îzâkî Classical Turkish Literature, Poem mecmua.
