Abstract (EN)

Today internet is a widely-used technological improvement. The most common communication means are e-mails. Companies use this widespread communication means as a marketing channel. E-mail messages sent to consumers for the purpose of marketing must be clear to understand. Companies sent such e-mail messages to registered consumers within the knowledge and permission of the customer. All customer records on the lists must be correct. In accordance with these consumer information, emails must comply with consumers? demands and needs. Only in this way can an influential marketing procedure via permission emails be performed.The purpose of this study was to determine the attitude of students of Anadolu University towards marketing procedures via authorized emails. In accordance with this, the attitude and behaviour of students towards permission and spam email messages and their contents, were analyzed. As to the findings from this study, messages with an advertising content and the length of messages have low effectiveness on reading such e-mail messages. In addition, the interest in spam e-mails was low, whereas, the interest in permission e-mails was quite high.Key Words: E-mail, Marketing via Permission E-Mails, Spam E-Mail.
