Abstract (EN)
People moving on a ground generate consecutive impacts on the ground. Some irregularities occur on the ground due to those impacts which are spread as seismic waves from the source. The purpose of this research is to examine the seismic signals which are generated by footsteps of people for target detection. One test set-up is established to measure the seismic signals and according to specified measurement scenarios, some experiments are practiced. Test results are analyzed on time, frequency and time/frequency domain. It is observed that noise problem, which is one of disadvantage of detection with seismic methods, can be solved by using wavelet denoising. Footsteps characteristic of people is achieved, walking and running frequencies are found and the seismic signal constituents which are generated by people?s different type of walking are detected. The results reveal that target detection and identification can be performed by vibration analyze.Key Words : Seismic signals, Walker Detection, Vibration Analysis
