Özet (EN)
In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the preoperative and postoperative periods in cats brought to our clinic from different regions of Izmir and where diaphragm hernia was formed as a result of trauma. The survival rate of cats of different ages and genders in the postoperative period was 100%. It was seen that diaphragm hernias formed in the most circumferential style. The most herniated organs were small intestines and liver. In the preoperative period, one patient died of gastric tympani an done patient died of cardiac arrest during anesthesia induction. We observed that in a chronic case, adhesion was formed between the herniated organs and the lungs. All cases where the liver herniated had pleural effusion. Good evaluation of the patients in the preoperative and postoperative period, keeping them with oxygen support in the intensive care cabin and the availability of appropriate equipment for surgical treatment ensured a high survival rate in the postoperative period.
