The general screening model, one of the screening model types, was used in the research method. A questionnaire was developed by the researcher in order to collect the data. The implementation of the survey was carried out in the province of Izmir between 13.07.2017 and 13.09.2017. A total of 404 people participated in the survey. Data were analyzed with the SPSS 24.0 package program. Continuous variables are expressed as mean ± standard deviation, median (minimum and maximum values), and categorical variables as number and percentage. Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis Variance Analysis were used to compare independent group differences. Chi-square analysis was used to compare categorical variables. According to the findings of the research, significant differences were found in the level of knowledge about the START protocol of the Izmir 112 emergency health service personnel, depending on their education status, occupation, unit worked, duration of duty and education about triage. Keywords: 112 Emergency Medical Services, disaster, mass events, triage, Simple Triage and Rapid Treatment (START).
