Systematıc and fauna of meloıds (Coleoptera: Meloidae) of Izmir

This study is based on totally 1311 adult Meloids specimens consist of 701 males and 610 females collected from İzmir April and September 2009 year. Collected materials were first of all identified according to morphological characters, diagnosis of some species samples with male genitalia characters were used. As a result of identification, 2 subfamilies, 5 genera and 13 species were determinated belonging to family of Meloidae. Cerocoma dahli Kraatz, 1863, C. kunzei Frivaldzsky, 1835, C. barthelemii Baudi 1878, Zonitis gibbicolis Abeille, 1880 and Z. immaculata (Olivier, 1790) from these is a new record to the Fauna of İzmir. In addition, identification keys, descriptions, locations, World and Turkey distribution, all species distribution map of study area, dorsal and side habitus photograps of all species and some male genitalia photographs are given.
