Özet (EN)
Energy is an indispensable necessity for wars for its sake and causing societies to be dependent on the outside. In this thesis, efficiency comparison and cost analysis were made between the rooftop, grid-connected solar energy power plants installed on monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar panels used in electricity generation, which are highly suitable for individual use. Researches were conducted on solar and solar energy, and information was given on the advantages and disadvantages of solar energy. In addition, the state of solar energy in the world and in our country was mentioned, and laws, regulations, and incentives related to solar energy in our country were evaluated. Moreover, solar panels and environmental effects of solar energy were also mentioned. Some assumptions and parameters have been determined and efficiency calculations and cost analysis have been determined for this study, which will help to choose the appropriate panel in İzmir province, which is planned to guide the right investment to meet our people, and which is expected to attract interest in the consumers in the residences. The acceptances made are explained in detail in the relevant parts of the study. The results obtained through the researches and calculations were compared in terms of parameters such as electricity production, CO2 emission, tree gain, ton equivalent petrol gain, financial gain, and payback period. In addition to the analysis of the results on an annual basis, the environmental, financial and energetic gains that will occur after the 25-year period of the life of the panels have been calculated. Real product catalogs and real price offers are included in the appendix of the study. As a result, although it has lower efficiency, the system investment consisting of polycrystalline panels repays itself in a shorter period of time. However, as can be seen in the calculations for the 25-year life of the panels, it was revealed that the monocrystalline solar power plant is more feasible than polycrystalline power plants in terms of efficiency, financial and environmental factors.
