Investigation of the anatomical and morphological comparison of the Euphorbia anacompseros Boiss. var. tmolea M.S. Khan and Euphorbia myrsinites L. plant in the sub-section of Euphorbia subgen. Esula Pers. sect. Paralias Dumart. Myrsiniteae Lam. plant which distributes in Izmir province.

In this study, there is a research of morphology and comparative anatomy between Euphorbia anacompseros BOISS. var. tmolea M.S. Khan and Euphorbia myrsinites L. plant in the sub-section of Euphorbia subgen. Esula Pers. sect. Paralıas Dumart. Myrsiniteae Lam. plant which distributes in İzmir province. According to anatomical results, E. myrsinites L. has thicker cortex, phloem, xylem layer and larger secretory canal areas. It was found that E. anacamseros Boiss. var. tmolea M.S. Khan has bifacial leaf type where as E. myrsinites L. ekvifacial type. However amphistomatic leaves and anomositic stomata were found in both taxa. Also, E. myrsinites L. has papillosa type of cells in leaf. Results of our research it is determined that there is morphological and anatomical differences between investigated taxa.
