On the October 30, 2020, in the normal fault area between Kuşadası and Samos island off the central Seferihisar, its size was 6.9 according to Kandilli Observatory; According to Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency, an earthquake of 6.6 taken place. Samos fauld was occured rupture by earthquake. This earthquake have started from İzmir where was felt in a wide geography. After the main earthquake, 1700 aftershocks occurred, therefore it existed loss of life and property in İzmir. According to It was declared report by Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency.Earthquake areas existed 116 death people 1034 injured people. According to the data announced by the Ministry of Urban Planning; 103 buildings were destroyed. Total 9500 damaged buildings were identified, of which 700 were heavily damaged, 814 moderately damaged, and 7889 lightly damaged. Buildings in Bayraklı, Bornova, Buca, Kemalpaşa and Menderes districts have destroyed building at the same time There were material and moral losses. Bayraklı district have taken the heaviest damage. Within this thesis, the reinforced concrete buildings in the Bayraklı district have examined and The reasons for the damage were tried to be explained. Also, a reinforced concrete building heavily damaged in the earthquake was examined according to the conditions of the Turkish Building Earthquake Code, and the current and numerical results of the construction were presented comparatively.
