Public square design at İzmir-Turan with the surroundings

The Purpose of the Project is; to rescue Turan Site from it?s dilapidated view by using a public square which exterminates the social necessities of people; to get the site to İzmir and keep the arrangement of sea side. These kind of places are the most important ones where social and cultural events happen, to strengthen relationships of people .Due to urban design; cities get more importance where squares are formed. It?s thouht that Turan is the proper place for this study. Turan has a very big importance by it?s geographical and publical location. Karşıyaka shore line is stoped by Alaybey shipyard, İnciraltı shore line is stoped by the port. Turan Region is located between those two axis. Being between main transport routes and sea hawing an unlinked and indepented environmental type,our study area must be planned as a rich recreational,cultural and socially active area .This zone must be a place where both local people and tourists can enjoy and get rid of everyday problems.Public should have all types of entertainment facilities such as concerts.theaters and etc. together.
