Abstract (EN)
In this study, the tourism potentiality of Iznik and its near by environment has been researched by the methods and princibles of the science of geography. Our study is composed of three sections. In the first section, features of both the natural and human enviroment will be examined. In the second section, the main touristic sources ( touristic sources of natüre nad mankid) of the Iznik Lake with its nearby environment will be examined. The Iznik Lake, rivers, thermal springs and woods will be included in the naturel touristic sources to be the field of this study. The historical buildings and places, religious sanctions, art of tile, museums, festivals, concerts, local bazaars and kitchen culture will take place in the section of natural touristic sources. In the third section, the touristic substructure of Iznik and its nearby environment. Transportation facilities, the touristic places, touristic activities and other variations of tourism will be examined. Tourism of Lake, culture and nature will be the main fields of study besides, the results, main problems and solution recommendations fort hem will be reevalvated.
