Özet (EN)

This study has been focused on to improve technological properties (electrical and mechanical strength) of electroporcelain bodies and glazes which were produced under industrial conditions by using different raw materials. On the other hand, evaluating of alternative raw material reserves for providing contribution to our countries economy was aimed. For that reason, this thesis was carried out within two parts. In the first part, quartz in standard insulator body was replaced by alumina and the effect of alumina on sintering behavior, electrical strength and mechanical strength was investigated. In the second part, using brucide which is used as an alternative raw material, instead of dolomide was investigated.Consequently, using alumina instead of kuartz was demonstrated that it is possible to get more electrical stability and mechanical strength during porcelain insulator production. In addition to, using brucite instead of dolomide in standard porcelain glaze production gave higher strenght values. At the same time lower glazing process production cost was obtained because of easy grindability of brucite. Keywords: Electrical porcelain, alumina, quartz, brucite, dolomite.
