Izzuddin B. Abdusselam as a scholar of İslamic cannonical jurisprudence (Fiqh)

In this study, topic is Islamic cannonical jurisprudence (fiqh) understanding of Izzuddin b. Abdusselam. Starting with his books, cultural academic political and social environment which is important on his growth, his teachers are presented by benefiting whole available sources. His understanding of method and jurisprudence, his methods and techniques of istinbat and solving cases, his fiqh perspective and preferences and reasons that shape his understanding are identified. Time to time evaluations are held. He is a prominent historical figure with his missions undertaken, books, students and life long examplary profile; and it is declared that he is on the level of absolute jurisprudence by the end of his life. It is thought that research on fiqh understanding of Izzuddin b. Abdusselam will shed on light on different problems of contemporary Muslim society.
