Abstract (EN)
It is possible to follow the changes and developments in Ottoman Turkish orthography through transcription texts written by Westerners, usually in Latin script. In hhis study, the characteristics of the Turkish spoken in 17th century Ottoman Empire are tried to be revealed in the Collaquia Familiaria Turcico Latina seu Staus Turcicus Loquens written by Jakab Harsányi Nagy, one of the early transcriptions. The study consists of Introduction, Text, Analysis, Conclusion and Index. In the Introduction, written and spoken language in Ottoman Turkish, written texts in translation, the importance and characteristics of Western Rumelia Turkish, are discussed; information about Jakab Harsányi Nagy and his work is given. In the Text section, the Turkish transliterations of the Latin explanations at the beginning of each chapter and the names of the people speaking in the dialogues are given, and the work is transcribed. In the Analysis section, the text is analyzed in terms of orthograpy, phonetics and morphology, and the vocabulary is analyzed under the subheadings of proverbs, idioms, reduplications and phrases. In the Conclusion section, it was determined that the text does not exhibit consistency in terms of language structure within itself, and it was reached the idea that the dual usages seen in the work may be due to both the early texts and the differences in the environments in which the author acquired the language. The Index section, the meanings of the words in the text and their spelling in Latin script are given. Keywords: Colloquia Familiaria Turcico Latina, Transcription text, Spoken language, 17th century.
