Abstract (EN)
Thre are 14 varietes of Japanese fish with striking apperance. Since we are not able to breed economically important varieties in ponds they must breed in aquaria. To breed these outstanding varieties in aquaria great attention and careful work needed. There are few breeders in large cities in the country and their production does not meet the need. For this reason most of fish are imported from foreign countries and they are quite expensive. The aim of this sutdy to find out the best breeding method and the best commercial food. The study has been coducted at two levels : breeding and feeding. Ten female and 1 0 male of 2- 4 ages or&nds variety were used for natural and atificial spawning. Eighty young fish were fed with theree different feed (Tetra Pond, Powder Feed and Trout larvae feed). For natural spawning of Japanese fish raffia and fibre gave better result. The be3t result was taken at 24.7 °C during July. Because of high protein levels, Trout larvae feed and Powder Feed gave better result. For good growth rate water temperature must be above 20 °C and live food must be given at least once a week. KEY WORDS : Japanese fish (C. auratus L.), Oranda, Breeding, Feeding.
