Today, if clothing were considered to be a mere covering or protection from external factors, it would only be a few pieces of clothing belonging to the person. However, people have used clothing to separate from each other in terms of character, pleasure, the way they express themselves to the outside world, and social and economic status. In the course of the historical movement, the fact of clothing has been diversified and clothes have been designed in terms of materials, colours, textures, fabrics, accessories and patterns in order to show and emphasize that the individual belongs to a particular group and class. When the history of clothing is examined, it can be realized that the society in which human beings live, the culture in which they belong and the geography in which they stand affect the relationship between the covering and the dressing. The development of the fashion and its introduction into clothing sector is directly proportional to the advancement of aesthetic sensitivities in societies. The commercial, political, cultural activities in a society, the changes in artistic thoughts, environmental factors, innovations and technological developments, individual differences and interpersonal relations all affect what is called fashion, and so the fashion becomes a social phenomenon. Fashion is in a fast motion since it is a concept and fact suitable to change and get affected due to many factors occurring in a society from ideological and conceptual to preferences and interactions among and between individuals. The meaning of fashion history is related to how the concept of 'design' emerged in today's world and what stages it has gone through. In fact, from the 20th century on, in the fashion world, the "designer" is not only a person who designs and produces the clothes from a one-way perspective, but also a producer who constructs the concepts of the world in which we live. Due to the research and findings about her, Jeanne Lanvin, a well-known and well-established designer, tailor and fashioner in Europe is an excellent example for how a person of cloth designer and tailor has become the face of one of the biggest sectors of the world rather than being a mere labourer. Jeanne Lanvin, the founder of the Lanvin brand, one of the fashion houses that has been active for the longest period of time since it was founded, has put forward innovations and designs in the fashion and clothing industry; she has also contributed to the world of haute couture by bringing a different and remarkable dimension to the world of fashion design in terms of clothing, accessory and textile. Inspired by her daughter, Lanvin designed 'mother - daughter' dresses and also enriched them with accessories. This garment has attracted attention for being original by adapting the design style to the brand. During her time, she had a unique position in the fashion industry with such design ideas and application methods. While creating her designs, she did not break from the traditional ones and presented her products to the user by combining them with current developments. It is thought that this study will provide positive contributions to fashion and textile design students in terms of originality and diversity in design, blending creativity with past, present and future, and feeding on different ideas. The aim of this study is to make accurate and clear determination of future designs and adaptations in textile and fashion trends in the light of the information and analysis obtained as a result of literature survey. Due to the lack of adequate Turkish resources and data on the subject examined, the examinations were carried out on Jeanne Lanvin example in foreign language sources and some applications were carried out depending on this examination. It is also planned to design education programs and create a decent resource in Turkish language for the Turkish speaking students in the related field.
