Thesis)Veysel INCILIGAZI UNIVERSITYINSTITUTE OF SCIENCE TECHNOLOGYJanuary 2006ABSTRACTIn this study, considering the Salavatlı Geothermal Field of the Aydın Province,a cooling system has been designed as an alternative to the common mechaniccooling systems for the purpose of meeting the need for cool depots andclimating in social foundations, hotels and housing units. In this cooling systemwith absorption, which will work with the geothermal energy, LiBr-H2Omixture has been used. Considering the usage of the available geothermalenergy, the thermodinamic analysis of the cooling cycle with absorption, whichworks with the LiBr-H2O couple, has been done. In the system analysises, thethermodinamic parameters have been studied, coefficients of performance(COP) have been calculated. The thermodinamic analysises of each element ofthe system have been done.
