Abstract (EN)

The heat transfer characteristics are analyzed in a rectangular cross-section duct which impingement jet technique applied for the purpose of heating and cooling.Heat transfer characteristics on surfaces are calculated by Fluent 6.2.16 program licenced for Sakarya Üniversity Mechanical Engineering Department in study. The obtained results are compared with Uysal's [17] study in Pittsburg University Mechanical Engineering Branch which concluded with an experimental investigation using Thermochromic liquid crystal (TLC) method. In addition, it is investigated that how the effect of target -jet plate distance to heat transfer characteristics and the effect of selected compressible or incompressible air used for fluid effects the results. Experimental and theoretical datas are compared. Keywords: Heat transfer in Jet impingement, İmpingement jets in row, Thermochromic Liquid Crystals, Temperature measuring, Cooling in electronic devices, Forced heat transfer in ducts, Gas türbines
